New logistics center in Peggau as an extension to the Cargo Center Graz as from the end of 2017
In times of rising cost discipline an increasing number is trying to avoid unnecessary truck tolls. The Sager Group responds to this issue and develops a new logistics center with direct rail connection in Peggau, which should be finished at the end of 2017.
„The groundbreaking for the construction of the logistics center with 10000 m² is taking place in February 2017. A unique characteristic will be the possibility to use complete trains for transporting containers by a railway siding“, explains Philipp Sager in the conversation with the Österreichischen Verkehrszeitung. According to him the amount of the investment will be in the two-digit million range.
Philipp Sager sees the location for the new logistics center is Peggau as predestined for clients located somewhere between the North of Graz and Bruck an der Mur, Leoben and Kapfenberg and expects regular exports to customers from Europe and overseas. And he also emphasizes the advantages for companies from Graz with limited storage and production space.
The entrepreneur highlights the fact that the new logistics center in Peggau should not be seen as a competition but as a completion to the Cargo Center Graz, which has become a real success in his eyes because of the block train connection to Koper.
